Hello Ted,
It has been a long time since we have talked and I want to let you know how my new house has turned off. I moved in around Christmas of 2005. Although it took longer to finish the house than planned, it was worth the wait.
I wanted to let you know how excited and pleased I am with using your panel wall system for construction of my new house. It how's worked great. Even during construction, several contractors mentioned how cool it stayed inside even when the outside temperatures reached over 100 degs. during the summer. The inside temperature stayed around 78 to 82 degs. even with the doors and windows open all day long. The paneled walls keep the house comfortable with very little heat transfer to the outside temperature. Your panels really do make the house "much" tighter and thus less expensive to operate.
The proof is in the pudding, as they say and my utility bills tell the story. Up until I moved into my new house north of Redding, CA. I lived in a house in the town of Redding which is 1600 sq/ft. with 6 inch walls of normal stick frame construction. My utility bills for both gas and electric was $210. for the month of December in that house. Even though my new house with your paneled wall is 50% bigger and the cost of electricity is 75% more expensive here, my bill for the month of January 2006 was $246. That shows just how energy efficient your paneled wall system is compared to normal stick frame construction. Add to that the fact the original construction of this house was much easier and quicker. I had the house walls and roof up and completed in just under 5 days which included two dormers.
During the month of March of this year (which has been cooler and wetter than normal), I used my wood stove to heat the entire house. Even though I bought the next too the smallest stove I could buy and the house is 2415 sq/ft., I had to run the stove at it's lowest setting. Even then the furnace really never ran very much. My electric bill for March was $78.00.
The panel wall system I bought from you was a very good decision.
Thanks again for all your help,
